Now that the seal's been broken on the writing, things are finally starting to come together around here. Getting the system up and running involved piecing together architecture that's laid dormant for the better part of a year, which meant slinging code to open the communication lines up again and get everything talking. Iron out the kinks in the presentation. I'm still working on that in between the extended writing sessions, which explains the delay between posts, but we're just about ready to hit the accelerator on that now too.
In a perfect world, I would've preferred to get everything running at top flight and in synchronization before launch, but this is the real world and “that shit ain't the truth.” It's never been a perfect world and you could spend the rest of your life trying to put the finishing touches on something without ever unleashing it on the world, and that would be a shame. It may not be a perfect world, but it is a beautiful world, and this oughta do. The ship's off the ground now and everything is online and seems to be doing fine... everything else we'll just have to build along the way.
So the frequency of posts will begin to increase right away, followed by a return to the usual monthly features in September. I'll no doubt still be rewiring things in between, since its still early days and each new post tends to reveal a few needed fixes along the way. Beyond that, each month should bring something new to the table, from mixes and other transmissions to new capabilities of the system and beyond. The idea is for this place to become a hub for like-minded musical souls to pick up on some new vibes and check out some old ones too, from other angles than what they're used to...
And above all else, it's a place where we can dream in rhythm.
